Helping Kids Spread Their Wings

With gratitude for our history with the “I Have a Dream” Foundation, we have evolved to become Far + Wise. Our core mission remains the same – to provide exceptional educational and enrichment programming to students who would otherwise not have access to those resources. As an independent organization, we are now able to expand our programs to be most responsive and relevant to our community’s needs.

We are passionate about helping young people pursue their interests, achieve their goals, overcome challenges, connect with our community and change their lives through education.

Our Approach Is Unique

Far + Wise commits to our students for the long term. Our students receive year-round engagement and support from elementary school through high school and beyond. As a unique incentive, each student is offered tuition assistance for college or vocational school upon successful completion of high school.

    Elementary Programs

    Supports our young students from first grade through post-secondary education (a 12-16 year journey) to achieve academic excellence, to learn social-emotional and life skills, to try new things through enrichment programming and to give back through community service.

    Secondary/Post Secondary Education

    Students work toward successful graduation and pursuit of their post-secondary goals. They continue to engage in enrichment and service activities, participate in social-emotional support and learning opportunities, and attend life skills workshops such as financial literacy, time management and public speaking.

    Workforce Development

    Support students to develop exceptional skills and receive training in a range of areas that support our local businesses and economy. We are working with community partners in trade & industry, hospitality, and a range of other sectors that support our community and align with our students' interests.

We Focus on the Individual

We take an individualized approach, tailoring our programs to suit each student’s particular needs and interests. Parents are involved every step of the way.
