Lewis Scholars Program
The Lewis Scholars Program is a long-term, relationship-based program supporting students from kindergarten through high school graduation through academic support, mentorship, and community connection. Grounded in the belief that children are curious, capable, and full of potential, the program centers on strong relationships, a sense of belonging, and learning experiences that build confidence and responsibility over time.
Lewis Scholars partners closely with families, schools, and the broader community to support students’ growth and remove barriers to opportunity. Through consistent mentorship and meaningful community service, students develop the skills, habits, and resilience needed to graduate prepared for academic success and engaged, purposeful lives beyond the classroom.

Elementary School
In elementary school, students build a strong academic foundation through targeted literacy and math support designed to meet individual learning needs. Alongside academic growth, students develop essential social-emotional skills such as self-regulation, collaboration, and perseverance, helping them gain confidence and a positive relationship with school.
Middle School
In middle school, programming shifts to support students as academic expectations increase and social dynamics become more complex. Students strengthen executive functioning skills, receive structured homework support, and benefit from consistent mentorship that helps them navigate the academic and personal challenges of early adolescence.
High School
In high school, students receive continued academic support while focusing more intentionally on college and career planning. Through guidance, hands-on opportunities, and meaningful community service, students clarify their goals, build responsibility and leadership, and prepare for successful transitions beyond graduation.
College and Career Support
After graduation, Lewis Scholars continue to benefit from support from Far + Wise as they take their next steps into college, university, or trade school. For many students, particularly those who are first-generation, this ongoing guidance is critical during the transition to post-secondary education. Graduates are eligible for scholarship support and retain access to college counseling, helping them navigate new systems and opportunities with clarity and confidence.
